Account Information
When you create an account or are added by our team, we collect:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Home address (service location)
- Emergency contact name and phone number
- Property access information (lockbox codes, gate codes, entry instructions)
- Account password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text)
Pet Information
To provide quality pet care, we collect:
- Pet name, species, breed, age, weight, and color
- Veterinarian name and contact information
- Medical information including medications, allergies, and health conditions
- Feeding, walking, and bathroom care instructions
- Pet photos
Payment Information
We use Square to process payments. When you save a card on file, we store only the last four digits and card brand (e.g., Visa). Full card details are handled and stored by Square in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We never have access to your full card number.
Service Visit Information
During pet care visits, our staff may collect:
- Visit start and end times
- GPS location data during visits (for route tracking and safety)
- Photos and notes about your pet's visit
- Observations about your pet's mood, health, and behavior
Communications
We store messages exchanged between you and our team through the in-app messaging feature.

- IP address (collected when signing agreements)
- Browser/device type for push notification delivery

4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as necessary to provide our services:
- Square — Payment processing. Square receives your email, name, and payment card details to process transactions.
- ClickSend — SMS delivery. Your phone number and message content are transmitted to send text notifications.
- Google Calendar — Schedule management. Visit details including client name, address, and appointment times may be synced to staff calendars.
- Apple Maps — Route calculation. Addresses are sent to Apple Maps to calculate driving distance and time between appointments.
- Supabase — Database and file storage. Your account data and photos uploaded during visits are stored securely in Supabase cloud storage.
- Cloudflare Stream — Hosts and serves training videos shown inside the app.
- Vercel — Hosts the website and app backend.
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — Delivers push notifications to your iOS device. We send Apple an encrypted device token and the notification payload; Apple delivers it to your device.
- Email (SMTP) — Transactional emails including booking confirmations, visit reports, and receipts are sent via email.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a high cost factor
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Authentication sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies
- Payment card data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors (Square)
- Role-based access controls limit data access to authorized personnel
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information through your account portal
- Update or correct your personal information
- Delete your account directly from inside the app — go to Profile → Delete my account. This cancels every upcoming visit, ends any active recurring schedule, removes your saved card, and replaces your personal contact information with non-identifying placeholders. Completed-visit and payment records may be retained in anonymized form for legal and accounting purposes.
- Opt out of SMS or email notifications
- Withdraw consent for push notifications through your device settings
- Withdraw consent for marketing use of your pet's photos by unchecking "Share my pet's cute moments" on your Profile.

8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
